Here's a comment from one of our past attendees:

I attended the "Getting Started" workshop along with my mom and daughter, and wanted to say thank you for everything you are doing to support and encourage homeschooling in Maine. God must be very pleased with your efforts on His behalf. The workshop couldn't have been any more affirming for me, and really brought my mom in on the big picture in a way I never could have done myself.

We are grateful for ongoing curriculum donations to HOME, and delighted to be of service to homeschool families in this way. However, due to the amount to materials and resources donated and a limited amount of storage space, HOME must periodically reduce its on-hand supply. This happens several times a year during HOME's Annual Convention, Annual Used Curriculum Sale and Expo and Outdoor Adventure Weekend. At the HOME Inventory Reduction Sales that take place during these events, homeschoolers can take advantage of low, low prices and support HOME at the same time! Dates, times and locations for upcoming Inventory Reduction Sales are listed below:

HOME Annual Convention - At the Samoset Resort in Rockport beginning on March 20 at 4:00pm, and throughout the Convention until 3:00pm on March 22, 2014.

HOME Annual Used Curriculum Sale and Expo - Spring of 2014 (date to be determined) at the Augusta Armory from 9:30am until 1:00pm.

Outdoor Adventure Weekend - At the Summit Conference Center at Sunday River in Bethel beginning on June 7, 2013 at 4:00pm through June 8 at 3:00pm.

Come early to all events for the best bargains!

Homeschooling is a growing global movement, but homeschooling parents overseas face the mounting pressure and challenges similar to those American homeschoolers experienced 30 years ago. German homeschoolers are threatened with fines, jail and worse. Is the German homeschool experience the edge of night for America? Should American homeschoolers be concerned about the plight of homeschoolers in other countries? Michael Donnelly has traveled the world supporting homeschooling freedom.
