On Giving Tuesday, during the holiday season, HOME will provide backpacks filled with school supplies to homeschool families in Maine who have received scholarships for various HOME events through the year.
These kits contain supplies that are intended to bless and encourage the families who receive them.
They include crayons, colored pencils, markers, notebooks, folders, etc. and are packed for the school-aged children in the family.
Read what thankful parents have said about the HOMEschool Kits for Kids program.
You can help HOME provide these kits in the following ways:
1. Consider a donation of $25 or more to cover the cost of a backpack, supplies, and shipping. (Any donation, large or small, is appreciated!)
2. Collect Boxtops for Education.
3. Bottle Drive - Bring your empty returnable bottles and cans to the HOME Convention, or drop your returnables off at any participating Hannaford. To donate specifically to HOME, you will need HOME's bar coded bag tags. Tags can be obtained at the Customer Service desk. Ask for bag tags for Homeschoolers of Maine.
If you know of a family in need that would benefit from and be encouraged by Homeschool Kits for Kids, please notify the HOME Office. Include a brief description of the family situation, contact information and the names and ages of the students.
Thank you for supporting the homeschool community!
